Statement from SDTC

OTTAWA, ON — SDTC President and CEO Leah Lawrence tendered her resignation to SDTC’s Board of Directors on Friday November 10 at 5pm.

Ms. Lawrence is a transformational leader who successfully reshaped SDTC over the past eight years to meet the accelerating pace of innovation in Canada and globally, at the speed required to meet the great challenge of addressing Canada’s climate change targets.

Under her leadership, SDTC became the largest funder of small and medium-sized sized cleantech companies in Canada, supporting entrepreneurs across their entire commercialization journey, from seed to success.  The Board of Directors would like to thank Ms. Lawrence for her tireless service to the organization and wish her well in her future endeavours.

Ziyad Rahme has been named Acting CEO, while the Board of Directors confirms next steps in addressing Ms. Lawrence’s departure.
