Our Approach
As a high-performing organization, SDTC is committed to a REMOTE-FIRST workplace that will allow employees to work where they can be most productive. Our approach is to:
Remote-First Work Guidance
Employees will work with their leader and their team to set core work hours that provide an opportunity to foster collaborations across all time zones.
Employees will work within Canada to support our mission to catalyze cleantech innovation.
Employees may be required to participate in person periodically to foster collaboration and team building.
SDTC’s headquarters are centrally located in Ottawa. We also have offices in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver that are accessible for all employees to use as they choose, and we regularly host regional meetings or team events.
In the spring of 2023, Edelman Data & Intelligence conducted an independent survey of SDTC employees. It found that employees demonstrate strong engagement, driven by a positive culture, supportive managers, flexibility, and rewarding work. Employees are in alignment and have an appreciation for our corporate values, which are entrenched in our day-to-day work.
In January 2024, we asked each team member to write one word to describe our culture. The top results were: supportive, flexible and collaborative, followed closely by mission, curious and caring.
